| Swimzone
Racing is a competitive swimming club with over 100 members. The club works
in synergy with Swimzone which is our club coaches swimming business. Swimzone
Racing (the club) does not employ our coaches. Swimzone (the business) is
a business which has a contract with the Hutt City Council to be the sole
provider of professional swim coaching at Naenae and Stokes Valley Pool.
Swimzone Racing (the club) and Swimzone (the business) are in partnership
to provide a competitive swimming programme in the Hutt Valley, with swimmers
paying a membership fee to Swimzone Racing (the club), and coaching fees
to Swimzone (the business).
The aims of the team structure are:
*These times will get progressively faster during the season. At the present time they are < 6s off for the juniors qualifying time (JQT) for a 50m event, <12 s off the JQT for a 100m event, <20s off the JQT for a 200 or 400m event. # Mako Redliners – within both Mako teams swimmers
will be identified as Redliners if they are close to Div 1 times as defined
by <1.5s for a 50m event, <5s for a 100m event, <7.5s for a 200m
event and < 10s for a 400m event.
